JAMES B. COX, Director

James is an LA-based filmmaker. His work can be seen in the award-winning Grey Matter, based on the short story by Stephen King and Manifesto, featured in Chapman University's First Cut. Both are short films made at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts hitting film festival screens around the world. James is currently writing the sequel to Mimesis released by Anchor Bay.

ANDI HAMAMOTO KOWAL, Producer

Andi, a Southern California native, received her MBA from Chapman University's Argyros School of Business, where she completed foreign residencies in Europe and Asia. While in Asia she filmed a travel documentary that was commissioned by Chapman University’s Office of the President in conjunction with the Argyos School of Business’s EMBA Program.

While at Chapman, she worked her way through school by producing personal documentaries, industrials, and training videos for high end clients and businesses. In 2008, she completed the Pepperdine sponsored Act One Executive Training Program. 

As an undergrad, Andi co-produced the feature documentary, Amy Holden Jones, shot on Super 35mm. Armed with a passion for service and teaching, Andi worked as an instructor for the intensive Merage Artists in Residence Film Program. Prior to her academic tenure, Andi spent over 15 years working in music as a tour manager, photographer, promotions and music director, radio DJ, and music journalist. Her work has been published in several national and lifestyle publications. 

In September, 2009, Andi graduated with a Producing MFA from The American Film Institute (AFI), where she was the proud beneficiary of the HP scholarship award. Andi’s AFI thesis film, Eggbaby was accepted into the Berlin Asian Film Festival and the Hawai’i International film festivals. Andi is currently in various stages of production on several projects including Grey Matter based on a Stephen King short story, a documentary on consumer behavior and a follow up to the Amy Holden Jones feature. Andi moonlights as a professional photographer and small business/ marketing consultant in the LA and Orange County area. Additionally, she writes professionally as a relationships writer for AOL (American Online). She is happily married to Tim and lives in Southern California.

KEVIN M. SLEE, Associate Producer

Kevin is a Los Angeles based film writer-director-producer and the founder of Artistic Analogies Film Co. As a filmmaker, his resume is long and diverse with festival wins in directing and writing.
In addition to his work as a director, Slee played the role of Associate Producer on Dispatch, an independent feature film from director Steven Sprung, which was recently sold to Showtime. Further, Slee is a Development Executive at David Foster Productions where he works with producer David Foster (The Thing, The Mask of Zorro, The Getaway, etc.) on developing numerous projects. Most recently, they released Universal’s prequel to The Thing (2011). Slee is also an Associate Producer on Dimension Film’s Short Circuit reboot, which is set to be directed by Tim Hill. In addition to his work with David Foster, Slee currently also works with Bad Hat Harry Productions and producer-director Bryan Singer.

Slee co-founded the record label and sound post-production house, Other Records, with Grammy nominated producer Andy Hay. They are currently partnered with Emoto Music.
